about

An inflatable unicorn is snapped rising from Latitude, moments before drifting out to sea to choke a dolphin. It can mean only one thing: SuperGlu are back with a new single! The Manningtree-based bubblegum rock four-piece seemed to disappear without warning in 2017, just as they were on the cusp of breakout success, having headlined the Introducing stages at Leeds and Reading and returned with rave reviews from SxSW.

But they've been not been idle. Drummer Benjamin Ward formed Don’t Try Music to mastermind the meteoric rise of Bessie Turner, who went from playing local pubs in Ipswich to supporting Ed Sheeran in just two years. Bassist Krista Lynch moved to Berlin to pursue photography. She took the first snaps in the northern hemisphere of Amyl and the Sniffers, before returning to the UK to shoot Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, and then she risked death on the roof of the Millennium Dome filming Cirque du Soleil. Guitarist Alex Brown returned to his first love – selling insurance. And singer Ben Brown suddenly found himself with more time to work on his allotment.

New single Forever Endeavour was penned by Ben Brown during SuperGlu’s hiatus, strumming along at home to a half-remembered chorus hummed by Krista as she packed for Berlin. Part nostalgia for the fun and excitement shared by the couple on their rollercoaster ride from Manningtree to Texas, part apology, part love letter. Forever Endeavour is a reminder to cherish the important things in life. A message more important than ever, as evil psychopaths pilot the planet into oblivion.

Forever Endeavour is out on all streaming platforms from 4 October 2019 via Don’t Try Music and antigen records. Kartel Music Group, Bandwagon Press and Disaster Artist Management are doing all the hard work to make this the inescapable earworm of the autumn.
