New double-A side 7" single from precocious power trio Gaffa Tape Sandy, featuring furious post-punk polemic Meat Head - a blistering diatribe against idiot men, from a band unafraid of alienating up to half their audience. Meat Head is a glorious, uninhibited rant aimed at the meathead male mindset. It's a song for a time when, 100 years after the women's suffrage movement won the right to vote for (some) women, a gammon-faced septuagenarian can block a bill to criminalise upskirting on "a matter of principle", without any sense of irony.

The physical release features specially-commissioned neo-primitive sleeve art by Emily Allen, which almost delayed the digital release, after a male member of staff at the distributor flagged it as "nudity/pornography". The Oxford English Dictionary's definition of pornography is "printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate sexual excitement." It's good to know that over a hundred years after the censure of Les Demoiselles d'Avignon by Picasso, abstract representations of the female form can still arouse dangerous levels of sexual excitement in men, to the extent that they must be removed from public view.

Meat Head is backed with breakout hit Beehive, which has topped 300,000 streams on Spotify. The band's live rendition of Beehive at Glastonbury 2017 kick-started national interest in the Bury St. Edmunds-based trio and led NME to tip them as one of the top 100 bands to look out for in 2018. The studio version, produced and mixed by George Perks at the Crypt, fully captures the intensity of the live performance. Both songs were mastered for vinyl by Eric James at Philosophers Barn.
