about

Please go to Dorian Wood's own bandcamp page to download the audio tracks without a physical purchase. This page is set up to sell the CD/book version of the EP (which includes digital downloads and unlimited streaming).

Four song EP and 34 page perfect-bound A5 softback book by Los Angeles-based artist and singer-songwriter Dorian Wood. The title track is taken from Dorian’s doomsday musical masterpiece Rattle Rattle and is one of the album's many magical moments; a beautiful eight minute piano-led duet with Angela Correa of Correatown. This EP also features three non-album tracks, available on CD for the first time.

These run the breadth of Dorian's output, from the minimal, hauntingly poignant Ken to the full-on apocalyptic cacophony of Wright – a massed choral exorcism which would not seem out of place on a latter day Scott Walker album. This is an EP of epic scope, meticulously arranged, beautifully recorded and featuring a 45-voice choir. Lo-fi this is not.

The CD version is mounted in a book, featuring lyrics and all-new, specially commissioned full-colour artwork by Dorian himself. People disturbed by images of hermaphroditic cherubs fucking and mutilating each other should probably give this a wide berth. But for collectors of Dorian's work, this is a must! Strictly limited to 170 numbered copies.

"Individual songs on their own like the mammoth 'Glassellalia'... are so epically orchestrated you'd think they were written for Broadway." LA Underground

"Haunting...a tautly beautiful contemplation of hardship." - LA Weekly
